Tom Cruise has embarked on an epic publicity tour for the global launch of Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning. It’s being labelled as the final movie in the series, at least with Cruise as the star, so the tour has to be bigger than ever.
Premiere celebrations started in Asia, first in Japan and then in Korea. Cruise has taken directed, and longtime producing partner Christopher McQuarrie along for the ride. He’s also been joined by co-stars Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, and Pom Klementieff.
The next stop was London, where fans were treated to 3 nights of Mission Impossible marathons at the BFI IMAX. The 3 films in the franchise were screened on the first night, followed by the next three on the second night, with the third and final night screening Dead Reckoning. After the Dead Reckoning screening, Cruise attended the BFI in person to give a Q&A talk for the audience.
Cruise was joined in London carpet photos with his Top Gun: Maverick co-star Glen Powell, and British film director Edgar Wright who is directing Powell in his upcoming remake of ‘The Running Man’.
More excitingly, he spotted on top of the iconic BFI IMAX building itself after the Q&A talk. Our video on YouTube shows him embodying Ethan Hunt in real life as he looks out over London.
Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning releases in cinemas this month, starting May 17 in Australia, and May 23 in the United States.
