Max, the streaming home for all Warner Bros and HBO content, will be launching in Australia in March 31st 2025.
Formerly known as HBO Max, the streaming service launched in May 2020 in the US. Since then, it has expanded to select countries in Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America. With over 115M subscribers as of 2025, it’s the 6th largest video streaming service in the world.
It’s launch in Australia has been long awaited. For years, Foxtel’s exclusive deal with HBO kept Warner Bros. content locked to local streaming service BINGE. Now finally, WBD has decided to launch their own streaming service locally instead. This means significant content of HBO and WB originals will be leaving the BINGE service over March.
