Australia has celebrated the new ‘SUPERMAN’ movie at Supanova Sydney this weekend, where Warner Bros. transformed a hall at the Sydney Showground into the ‘Superman Theatre’.
Supanova Comic Con and Gaming is the largest pop culture convention in Australia. This year they partnered with DC Studios and Warner Bros. to officially promote James Gunn’s new Superman movie.
The main hall at Sydney Showground was transformed into the ‘Superman Theatre’, complete with official signage from DC Studios’ ‘Superman” movie. It also included a glowing projection light on the wall of the iconic Superman crest from the film.

The main event held in the hall was the a Superman cosplay competition that gave chance the fans to win tickets to the Superman Sydney Premiere.
The competition was officially sponsored by Warner Bros. Australia, with official prizes provided by them for the new Superman movie. It was filled with entrants displaying costumes of their Superman Movie Cosplay including official outfits inspired by the James Gunn Superman suit.

The competition received over 20 entires and was hosted by resident Superman cosplayer expert, Jay Vecchio (Cosplay Jay) dressed in his Superman outfit from the enw movie.
ll entrants received a ticket to see the James Gunn’s Superman film in cinemas July 10, and one lucky winner scored a Double Pass to the exclusive red carpet Superman Premiere in Sydney!
The winners were a father-son duo who dressed as Jor-El, and Superman, who was dressed in a James Gunn Superman Cosplay from the 2025 movie.
