Amy Poehler attended an event in Sydney, Australia tonight to promote the new Pixar film Inside Out 2.
Her appearance was part of the annual VIVID Sydney festival which runs from 24th May to 15th June 2024. The festival includes a series of light-based art installations that project artwork and lights onto iconic landmarks across the Sydney city.
Poehler spoke at an hour-long conversation with broadcaster Zan Rowe at the Sydney Opera House. They covered topics ranging from her early days in improv comedy in Chicago, to her time on Saturday Night Live, as well as her new film Inside Out 2.
The event began with a screening of the first 30 minutes of Inside Out 2, giving audiences a sneak peek at the highly anticipated film. We were in the audience and the reaction was palpably energetic, with huge laughs from the audience in what promises to be a return to form for Pixar.
After the screening, fans witnessed a bespoke Inside Out 2 themed light show. A custom light sequence was projected onto Customs House with animation and sound featuring characters from Inside Out 2. A full recording of the 6-minute sequence can be found on our YouTube.
Inside Out 2 releases in cinemas on June 13th.
